To Apply Updates to Files

How to control when updates are applied to files you are working on

Update incorporates changes to parts that are held in memory from the current editing session. The graphics window and browser update to show the changes.

To manually apply edits to a part file:

1. Click the arrow beside the Update command on the Quick Access toolbar.
2. Select the appropriate option:

   Click Update to regenerate the active part.

The Update command dims to show the file is fully up-to-date.
