Tools that appear in flyouts are stored in packages. The framework uses the images associated with these tools to draw shapes, or icons, on the flyouts. For this reason, these packages are known as shape packages. A single shape package can be referenced by multiple flyout tools.
Shape packages are stored in the shape catalog. The Tool Palette framework allows only one shape catalog, found in the shapes.atc file. The shape catalog and the packages it contains can be accessed through the AcTcManager class.
