AutoCAD provides COM wrappers for most of the ObjectARX environment. These objects are ActiveX Automation compliant, which means they support Visual Basic, C++, and any other Windows environment that can access ActiveX objects. AutoCAD provides some APIs that are available only through the COM interface mechanism. See the ActiveX and VBA Developer's Guide for documentation relating to the ActiveX Object Model.
