Import STL File (PartMaker)

Use this menu option to import an STL-format (.stl) file containing a triangulated solid model into PartMaker. You may want to use the imported file for performing surface machining in PartMaker.

Selecting this menu option displays the Import STL File dialog for you to select the file you want to import.

Note: The .stl file being imported must have been created using metric dimensions.

Note: You cannot extract machinable edges and other geometric data from a solid model imported from an .stl file.
