Extract Parts from Model dialog (PartMaker)

Use the Extract Parts from Model dialog to extract one or more parts from a solid model that is an assembly of multiple parts or surfaces.

To display this dialog, select Solids > Model > Extract Part from Model from the Menu bar, or right click a model in the Job Explorer and select Extract Part from Model from the context menu.

The following settings are available:

Select Parts to Extract — All the parts included in the model are listed in this window. Select the parts you want to extract. When you click on a part, it is highlighted in the Solids window.

Tips:

Select one of the options from the drop-down list:

OK — Click to perform the selected extract action on the selected parts and close the dialog.

Cancel — Click to close the dialog without extracting any parts.

Clear All — Click to undo your selection of parts. The dialog remains open.

If you change your mind after extracting one or more parts from the model, you can re-import the active model from its original location by selecting Solids > Model > Update. When you update a model, PartMaker retains all coordinate transformations performed on the model after it was imported.
