Sloped Walls Machining Options dialog (PartMaker)

Use the Sloped Walls Machining Options dialog to specify a draft angle for the walls of a pocket or a contour.

To display the Sloped Walls Machining Options dialog:

1. Make sure the Advanced Milling Toolpath option is selected on the Profile Group Parameters dialog.
2. Click the Sloped Walls button on the Profile Group Parameters dialog.

The following setting is available:

Draft Angle — Enter the angle between the sloped wall and the vertical.

When the Draft Angle is applied to a:

• Pocketing strategy, PartMaker offsets each depth level of the toolpath inwards, away from the group profile and towards to the center of the pocket, based on the draft angle.
• Contouring strategy, PartMaker offsets each depth level of the toolpath inwards, away from the group profile and towards the tool, based on the draft angle.
