Installing Revit 2021.1

Note: Use this procedure when downloading single installations and deployments of Revit 2021.1.
Note: Before you choose to install the Revit product, verify your system meets the minimum system requirements and your hardware meets the minimum requirements to run the product, and make sure to read the Release Notes.
  1. Prepare for installation as described in About Installation Prerequisites. You do not need to download and install language packs for Revit. Instead, the software provides built-in support for all supported languages. See Use Revit in Other Languages.
  2. Start the Revit installation program. For instructions, see the topics under Workflow: Basic Product Installation.

Choose a language, choose default or optional components, and install your product.

  1. Depending on where you are installing from, do one of the following:
    • Click Install (from the Autodesk desktop app) or Install Now (from Autodesk Account). See Help for the Autodesk desktop app.
    • If you downloaded the installer, launch the EXE or EXE file associated with your product and version, for example, setup.exe.
    • If your product was delivered on media, find the EXE file and launch it from there.
  2. When prompted, read and accept the license agreement for your country or region.
  3. Click Next.
  4. On the Configure Installation screen, accept the default installation path and content path or specify a new one as desired.
  5. Click Next.
  6. Customize the installation by selecting or deselecting additional components.
  7. After you finish making selections, click Install.
  8. Revit will begin installing along with any optional components.
  9. When Revit has finished installing, a message indicating that the installation was successful will appear.
  10. Click Finish.
