Export a model to an . smlx file. In the target application, import the model, or synchronize modifications using this file.
In order to transfer a model to Advance Steel:
- In Robot, open your model (.rtd file).
- Select
Add-Ins
Integration Autodesk Advance Steel to export your model to the
.smlx file.
- In
Advance Steel, select Export & Import tab, and perform one of the following actions:
- Select Advance Import to transfer the entire model. Use it when transferring the model for the first time.
- Select Advance Synchronization to update your modifications using .smlx file. Use it when transferring the model to Advance Steel again, for further modifications.
- If the dialog for material conversion or section conversion opens, convert sections or/and materials.
The model opens in Advance Steel.
