To control the information displayed when probing features manually

Specify whether to display nominals, deviations, errors, and tolerances in the Feature Probing dialog.

Use the Configure dialog to specify what information appears in the Feature Probing dialog for a manual measurement.

Note: Use the Full-screen measurement page of the Options dialog to specify the default configuration settings.
  1. In the Feature Probing dialog, click .
  2. In the Configure dialog, choose the information to display when probing geometric features:
    • Nominals. Displays the nominal of each measurement for the item being probed.
    • Deviations. Displays the calculated deviation from nominal for each measurement.
    • Errors. Displays the amount by which each measurement exceeds the specified tolerance.
    • Tolerances. Displays the upper and lower tolerance band for points, dimensions, angles, and certain unit vectors (such as the axis of a probed cylinder). For profile properties (such as circularity), the Feature Probing dialog displays the maximum tolerance only.
