Results

Select the Results tab from the Diagrams option to calculate by means of the simplified method according to BAEL.

The displayed table lists the numerical values of the quantities selected for presentation. The contents of the table correspond to the categories of results selected at the bottom of the dialog, as well as to the selection of the active span (in the case of a multi-span deep beam). The type and range of displayed results depend also on the settings in the remaining tabs of the Diagrams dialog.

The table is divided as follows.

In the case of a multi-span deep-beam, click << or >> to select the active span.

The presented results may be freely composed of 20 various parameters (such as min./max. values of moments, shear forces, and reinforcement areas). The following result categories are defined to simplify this process: ULS Forces, SLS Forces, ALS Forces, Reinforcement Area and Deformations. Each of the listed sets contains a logically connected group of results.

For example, to view results of min./max. values of bending moments calculated by means of the simplified BAEL method in connection with the main theoretical (required) and real (provided) reinforcement area. Data will be set to appear when the SLS Force set is selected. To achieve this:

  1. Select the SLS Forces result category in the lower portion of the Diagrams dialog.
  2. On the SLS forces, select the following options: theoretical M and capacity Mc. The remaining sets of results are left inactive.
  3. Click Apply to accept the changes.
  4. On the Surfaces tab, select: theoretical (required) Abt and real (provided) Abr. The remaining sets of results are left inactive.
  5. Click Apply to accept the changes.

A table of numerical results will display in the results dialog of the Results tab.

Note: Once these changes are completed, the result presentation method will be identical for each new beam created within the same project. For deep-beams calculated according to the BAEL code only the min./max. values of sectional forces are obtained, therefore no results are presented in the graphic viewer.
