Connection Type - Column Base (CM66 and Eurocode 3)

For Eurocode 3 (ENV 1993-1-1:1992 and EN 1993-1-8:2005) and the French code CM66, the following column base types are available:

• pinned column base
• fixed column base
• concrete column base

Parameters defined for the pinned column base connection

• The set of forces considered during calculations of the connection:
  • axial force N (tensile or compressive)
  • shear force Qy and Qz
  • normal forces from the shear forces Qy and Qz
• Connection parameters:
  • bar sections
  • stiffeners
  • column base plates
  • bearing
  • anchors
  • welds
  • wedge
  • concrete.
