Design codes

Use the design codes parameters to select the types of codes that you want to use for your project.

Access

• Select Design codes in the left panel of the Job Preferences dialog.

Dialog elements

The codes include.

• Steel/Aluminum - Click the arrow to select the codes for steel/aluminum structure design.
• Steel Connections - Click the arrow to select the codes for steel connection design.
• Timber - Click the arrow to select the codes for timber structure design.
• RC - Click the arrow at the end of this field to select the codes required for RC structure element design. After calculating reinforcement for these structure elements, you obtain the provided reinforcement area and distribution of reinforcement in an RC structure element.
• Geotechnical (foundation design).

If you select Eurocode, an additional (...) button displays to the right of the selection list; click it to open the Partial Factors dialog to edit material factors for code modules.

Note: The codes available in the drop-down lists depend on the country selected in the Preferences dialog. To configure the list of available codes, click the arrow, and then click More at the bottom of the list.
