The algorithm of wall calculations (seismic loads)

The algorithm of seismic calculations complies with the guidelines provided in the book 'Formulaire du beton béton armé' by Victor Davidovici and in the PS 92code.

The algorithm of calculation of walls subjected to a seismic load proceeds analogously as in the case of walls without seismic loads. The differences concern:

• Minimum wall thickness: 15 cm (see PS 92, point 11.41)
• Minimum wall length: c ≥ 5a (see PS 92, point 11.41)
• Slenderness calculation (see PS 92, point 11.821.1)
• Load capacity calculation (see 'Formulaire...', point III.6.3.3.)
• Minimum area of reinforcement distributed in the wall (see PS 92, point 11.821.2)
• Shear verification (see PS 92, point 11.821.3a)
• Sliding verification (see PS 92, point 11.821) 3b)
• Generation of the constructional reinforcement (see 'Formulaire...', point III.6.3.3.).
