Member Properties

Open the Member properties dialog using either of the following methods after selecting a structure member:

• Click Results menu > Properties > Member properties.
• Select Object properties from the shortcut menu.

Use this dialog to display basic data, calculation results, and code calculations (verification) for a single structure member. It also lets you modify certain member properties (type, section, material).

Note: Parameters can be displayed only for a single member.

The dialog has the following tabs:

• Geometry
• Properties
• NTM
• Displacements
• Code check

Note: The number of tabs displayed on the dialog might be fewer, if no structure calculations have been performed.

The member displays the following data next to the dialog name (Member properties):

• Number of the selected member
• Number and name of the selected load case.

In addition to Apply, Close, and Help, Printout generates a calculation note with information about a selected structure member.

Once Load Take Down structure type selected, this tab appears for Member Properties.

The tab provides the following information:

• Member name
• Member section
• Member supports

In the member supports tables, it can be defined in which node the member is supported and what kind of support is that (fixed or not).

The tables present the automatically obtained values. They can be changed manually, which will be indicated by the blueish color.

By using the "restore default" button, automatic values can be restored for the selected member.
