Copying Sections Between Databases

Copy data from one section database to another with standard Copy/Paste options.

Note: Only section property values may be copied and pasted. Units used in section databases cannot be transferred this way. Select the same display units in both the source and destination databases.

Several instances of the database viewer may be opened at the same time.

To copy and paste data between databases, do the following.

1. Open the source database by selecting File > Open.
2. Highlighting the whole line of data. Section databases are selected using the Shift and Ctrl keys.
3. Select Edit > Copy option or press Ctrl+C.
4. Open the destination database by selecting File > Open.
5. Place the cursor on the first empty line in the first column
6. Select Edit > Paste or press the Ctrl+V.

Note: You cannot copy a section whose name already exists in the section database (NamexDIM1xDIM2xDIM3). If you copy a section list which contains a section that already exists in the destination database, copying stops on this section.
