Use this dialog to define loads from concentrated forces acting on a structure member at a selected point.
- Access
-
- Click
on the Member tab in the
Load Definition dialog.
- Values
- Specifies how the concentrated forces act on structure members, and the angle at which the forces act on a structure member.
- The concentrated force F acts on the X, Y or Z direction of the global or local coordinate system.
- The concentrated moment M acts about the X, Y or Z axis of the global or local coordinate system.
- Coord. system
- Specify whether the coordinate system should be global or local.
- Load on eccentricity
- Opens the Load on Eccentricities dialog which allows you to define the distance of the force from the longitudinal member force. If this option is not selected, loads are defined along the longitudinal member axis.
- Coordinates
- Applies the concentrated force to a point along the length of a member.
- The coordinates can be entered as
Absolute or
Relative values.
- Generate a calculation node at the point where a load is applied
- Enhances the display of calculation results at points where loads are applied, such as the display of values in tables and the transfer of force values to the modules for designing member elements.
Note: A calculation node is not generated if a real structure node is positioned at the point where the load is applied.
