Splice Connections are available for structures using the Eurocode 3 (EN 1993-1-8:2005/AC:2009) or the Polish standard PN-90/B-03200.
Beam Splice Connections
The following forces are considered during the calculation of a beam splice connection:
- N1 - axial force in right bar
- Vz1 - shear force in right bar
- My1 - bending moment in the plane XZ in right bar
- N2 - axial force in left bar
- Vz2 - shear force in left bar
- My2 - bending moment in the plane XZ in left bar
Column Splice Connections
The full set of forces is considered during the column splice connection calculation:
- N1 - axial force in lower bar
- Vy1 - shear force on direction Y in lower bar
- Vz1 - shear force on direction Z in lower bar
- My1 - bending moment in the XZ plane in lower bar
- Mz1 - bending moment in the XY plane in lower bar
- N2 - axial force in upper bar
- Vy2 - shear force on direction Y in upper bar
- Vz2 - shear force on direction Z in upper bar
- My2 - bending moment in the XZ plane in upper bar
- Mz2 - bending moment in the XY plane in upper bar
