The right-hand pane identifies the various program and data directories used by Autodesk Civil 3D. Most of the settings in this dialogue cannot be edited.
The Autodesk data directory specifies where the Vehicle Tracking library files are located.
The Public data directory is used for data shared between users on this computer.
The Personal data directory is used for data created by individuals. This is the default location for most new data and it is for the user to share it as required. We suggest that good practice would be to create and verify new data in personal area and share it only when it has been checked.
The Shared data directory path is editable. This directory is used to share data within your organisation or department; to be effective, it must be chosen with care and set consistently on all computers.
The Public settings directory is used for all settings files unless the user has opted to save their settings in their Personal area by selecting Store Settings in My Documents folder on the System Settings: Startup tab.
The Personal settings directory is where settings data is stored if the user has selected Store Settings in My Documents folder on the System Settings: Startup tab.
