This topic documents settings in all rail turnout-related Edit Settings dialog boxes (drawing-level, feature-level and command-level).
- Drawing-level ambient settings are identified by the
drawing icon.
- Rail turnout feature settings are listed near the top of this dialog box, after the General property group and are identified by the
rail turnout icon.
- Rail turnout command settings are identified by the
command icon.

Diverted Profile
- Create Diverted Profile
- Specifies whether to create a diverted profile when creating a turnout or crossover. If you choose to not create a diverted profile during the creation of a turnout or crossover, you can create one using the Create Diverted Profile command.
Default Styles
- Alignment Style
- Specifies the default style for diverted alignments created for turnouts and crossovers. Click in the Value column, and click
to select a style in the Alignment Style dialog box. - Diverted Profile Style
- Specifies the default style for diverted profiles created for turnouts and crossovers. Click in the Value column and click to select a style in the Diverted Profile Style dialog box.
- Turnout Label Set
- Specifies the default label set to use for turnouts. Click in the Value column and click to select a style in the Turnout Label Set dialog box.
- Alignment Label Set
- Specifies the default alignment label set to use for diverted alignments created for turnouts and crossovers. Click in the Value column, and click to select a style in the Alignment Label Set dialog box.
- Turnout Style
- Specifies the default turnout style. Click in the Value column and click to select a style in the Turnout Style dialog box.
- Turnout Label Style
- Specifies the default turnout label style. Click in the Value column and click to select a style in the Turnout Label Style dialog box.
- Turnout Dimension Profile Label Style
- Specifies the default dimension label style to use for turnouts displayed in profile view. Click in the Value column and click to select a style in the Turnout Dimension Profile Label Style dialog box.
- Turnout Critical Points Label Style
- Specifies the default critical points label style to use for turnouts. Click in the Value column and click to select a style in the Turnout Critical Points Label Style dialog box.
- Turnout Critical Points Profile Label Style
- Specifies the default critical points label style to use for turnouts in profile view. Click in the Value column and click to select a style in the Turnout Critical Points Profile Label Style dialog box.
Default Name Format
- Diverted Profile Name Template
- Specifies the name template to use when creating diverted profiles. Click in the Value column, and click to make changes in the Name Template dialog box.
- Turnout Name Template
- Specifies the name template to use when creating turnouts.
- Diverted Alignment Name Template
- Specifies the name template to use when creating diverted alignments for turnouts.
- Slip Line Name Template
- Specifies the name template to use when creating slip line alignments for turnouts.
Note: Slip lines are created when creating certain types of turnouts.
- Slip Line Profile Name Template
- Specifies the name template to use when creating slip line profiles for turnouts.
- Crossover Group Name Template
- Specifies the name template to use when creating crossover groups.
- Crossover Turnout Name Template
- Specifies the name template to use when creating turnouts in a crossover group.
