To create plots by subdividing with the Slide Line - Create command
Click Home tabCreate Design panelPlot drop-downPlot Creation ToolsFind.
On the Plot Layout Tools toolbar, click to expand the toolbar. Specify the Plot Sizing and Automatic Layout parameters for the new plot.
Click for the Slide Line - Create tool.
In the Create Parcels - Layout dialog box, specify any changes to the default settings. Click OK.
Click the Plot Selection Area label to select the plot or enter p and then click inside the plot.
Click the start point on the plot frontage.
Click an end point along the frontage. A preview graphic highlights the proposed frontage.
Specify the angle, quadrant bearing or whole circle bearing to place the new plot line. Preview graphics display if a solution can be obtained.
Note: When prompted for the angle, quadrant bearing or whole circle bearing, you can press Enter to enter the default 90 degree angle.
Accept the result to edit the plot. If a solution based on the current plot sizing parameter values is not found, you are prompted to adjust the parameters or reenter a new value for the method you are using.
Optionally, continue creating plot lines by repeating Steps 5-9. When you finish, press Esc.
To create plots by subdividing with the Swing Line - Create command
Click Home tabCreate Design panelPlot drop-downPlot Creation ToolsFind.
On the Plot Layout Tools toolbar, click to expand the toolbar. Specify the Plot Sizing parameters and Automatic Mode options for the new plot.
Click for the Swing Line - Create tool.
In the Create Parcels - Layout dialog box, specify any changes to the default settings. Click OK.
Select the plot to subdivide.
Click the start point on the plot frontage.
Click an end point along the frontage. A preview graphic highlights the proposed frontage.
Specify the swing point. Preview graphics display if a solution can be obtained.
Accept the result to subdivide the plot. If a solution based on the current plot sizing parameter values is not found, you are prompted to adjust the parameters, select a new point, or exit the command.
Optionally, continue creating plot lines by repeating Steps 4-10. When you finish, press Esc.
