Insert bolts, anchors, holes, or shear studs in a rectangle defined by a start point representing one of the rectangle's corners.
The extension in the X and Y directions is unlimited. Starting from one corner point the pattern extends in two directions. You can define an edge distance to the rectangular contour from the first bolt.
Access the command
On the Objects tab Connection objects panel, click
(Rectangular, corner point).

Create a rectangular bolt pattern using a corner point
- Place a coordinate system with the X/Y plane in the required plane.
- On the Objects tab Switch panel, switch to
(Bolts).
- Select a suitable display type. if necessary. For example, for beams, if a bolt pattern is inserted on the gauge line, use the Exact display type.
- On the Objects tab Connection objects panel, click
(Rectangular, corner point).
- Select the objects to connect and press Enter.
- Define a starting point.
- The bolt pattern is created.
Create a rectangular hole or shear stud pattern using a corner point
- Set a suitable user coordinate system.
- On the Objects tab Switch panel, switch to
(Holes) or
(Shear Studs).
- Select a suitable display type if necessary. For example, for beams, if the pattern is inserted on the gauge line, use the Exact display type.
- On the Objects tab Connection objects panel, click
(Rectangular, corner point).
- Select a beam or plate and press Enter.
- Specify a corner point.
