Manual cut views allow the placement of additional sections in addition to the ones generated automatically by the drawing style. This intersection views have the advantage that the cut plane is defined by the user. Thus, through these intersections, the user can obtain profile sections along the system axis or obtain oblique sections of an object attached to a main part.
Using the Create view / section command you can create the section using a default view or select any other view from the Request list.

- On the command line, type R and press Enter, to display the View selection window.
The list of views contains 2 categories: Advance and User.
The default views, used to create the sections, can be modified from the Management Tools, selecting Defaults\Drawing-General. The defaults that control these options are:
- Detailing category for manual cut view request: this default sets the category from which the detail view is used (Advance or User).
- Default view request for manual cut views (Advance): this default sets the detail view style, from the Advance category, used for the manual cut views.
- Default view request for manual cut views (User): this default sets the detail view style, from the User category, used for the manual cut views.
To modify the properties, representation style or dimensioning style of a view
Note: Only the views from the User category can be modified.
- Open the Drawing Style Manager.
- Open one of the subcategories from the User section and select a drawing style.
- On the Drawing Style Manager's toolbar, click Copy.
- Make a copy of the selected drawing style, with another name, and click OK.
- In the newly created drawing style, select the view.
- On the View definition tab change the name of the view with the one set in the "Default view request for manual cut views (User)" default.
Once the drawing style contains the default manual cut view, the view's properties, representation style or dimensioning style can be changed.
