The Project Explorer displays the project components and provides quick access to management commands via context menus.
The Project Explorer button is located on the Home tab 
Project panel:
Command line: _AstM11CommCreateProjectExplorer
Using the Project Explorer you can:
- Switch between the working techniques.
- Browse through the model views, groups and queries.
- Create and manage the model views, queries and groups.
- Manage levels.
- Organize the objects in folders.
- Quickly manage the model elements visibility.
- Quickly select elements.
- Quickly locate elements in the model.
Controlling the size and the pane location
You can resize the Project Explorer window by dragging the sides in the desired direction.
Dock the Project Explorer window by dragging it to the left or to the right side of the application window until it snaps into the docked position. Enable docking by selecting Allow docking from the context menu. You can also dock or undock it by double-clicking the title bar.
The two panes of the Project Explorer (Structures and Workplanes) can be displayed separately and joined back together as tabs by right-clicking on either of the panes and selecting
(Separate) or
(Join).
When separate, the Workplane pane can be collapsed by clicking on the lower bar:
