Importing FBX files

You can import FBX files into Create VR as editable geometry to support your modeling process. To import files into Create VR, you must first add them to the CreateVR\Assets directory.

For example:

C:\Users\Username\Documents\CreateVR\Assets

  1. Open the menu.

  2. Select the Import/Export icon in the Tool Menu, then select Import File… .

  3. Browse to the CreateVR\Assets directory and select the file you want to import.

    When you return to the scene, the geometry is added to the scene origin.

  4. Use object-grip, move and scale geometry to adjust it like you would with curves and surfaces.

If you import or open an FBX file with objects that are not assigned to any layer in the source software, it will not be editable. You can use the Assign Layer tool to assign it to a layer to be editable.
