To Lock or Unlock a Layer

You can lock or unlock a layer in the Layer Properties Manager or by selecting an object.

In the Layer Properties Manager

1. Click Home tab Layers panel Layer Properties. Find
2. In the Layer Properties Manager, click the padlock for the layers that you want to lock or unlock.

Tip: To change multiple layers, use the Shift or Ctrl keys to select the layers. Then click the padlock for any of the selected layers and all the layers are set.

By Selecting an Object

1. Click the Model tab.
2. Do either of the following:
   • Click Home tab Layers panel Lock. Find
   • Click Home tab Layers panel Unlock. Find
3. Select an object on the layer that you want to lock or unlock.

Objects on locked layers appear faded and a small lock icon is displayed when you hover over the object. Set the fade level for locked layers to easily see which objects are on locked layers. Find
