Subscribe to AutoCAD or AutoCAD LT to upload a shared view. If you already are a subscriber, make sure you are signed into your Autodesk Account.
To Share a View
Important: The shared view is created from the current view of the open file. Before uploading, make sure you are sharing only the information you want to be made public.
The following steps extract data from your current drawing and store the data in a secure cloud location. You can then share the link to that data with your colleagues and clients. This method enables you to share views of drawings, not the drawing file itself.
Note: It's important to remember that anyone who receives the link from you can forward the link to others.
- Open the drawing file that you want to share a view of.
- Click
. Find
- In the Share View dialog box, specify options. Options give you additional control over information that you share with your collaborators.
- Click New Shared View to create a link to a visual representation of the file in Autodesk Viewer. A notification bubble provides the link to the shared view in Autodesk Viewer. This makes it easy for you to send the link to your collaborators.
