To Work With Queries (Save and Reuse)

Saved, or stored, queries can be edited, renamed, or copied into other drawings.

Execute a Stored Query

  1. Click Tools menu PalettesdbConnect.
  2. In the dbConnect Manager, in the tree view, right-click a stored query. Click Execute.

Edit a Stored Query

  1. Click Tools menu PalettesdbConnect.
  2. In the dbConnect Manager, in the tree view, right-click a stored query. Click Edit.
  3. Use the Query Editor dialog box to make the necessary changes. Click Store to save the edited query with the current drawing.

Rename a Stored Query

  1. Click Tools menu PalettesdbConnect.
  2. In the dbConnect Manager, right-click the query you want to rename. Click Rename.
  3. Enter a new name for the query. Press Enter.

Delete a Stored Query

  1. Click Tools menu PalettesdbConnect.
  2. In the dbConnect Manager, in the tree view, right-click a stored query. Click Delete.

Copy a Stored Query to Another Drawing

  1. Click Tools menu PalettesdbConnect.
  2. In the dbConnect Manager, select the query that you want to copy.
  3. Drag the query to the node of the drawing that you want to copy it to.

Automatically Store New Queries with the Current Drawing

  1. Click Tools menu PalettesdbConnect.
  2. In the dbConnect Manager, in the tree view, open a database table by double-clicking it.
  3. In the Data View window, click the Query button.
  4. In the New Query dialog box, click Continue.
  5. In the Query Editor dialog box, click Options.
  6. In the Data View and Query Options dialog box, Query options area, select Automatically Store. Click OK.
