To Fix Not Found Reference Files

Allows you to browse to a new location for a not found reference file (fix one), and then provides you with an option to apply the same new location for other missing references (fix all).

  1. In the External References palette, select an external reference file with a not found status.
  2. Right-click the selected reference and select Select New Path from the context menu.
Note: It is recommended that for a single selected broken reference, use the Select New Path option.
  3. In the Select New Path dialog, navigate up the path tree or to other drives, network connections, FTP locations, or web folders (either Web Folders or My Network Places, depending on the version of your operating system) to select the new path for the missing reference file.
  4. Click Open. The missing reference is loaded in the External Reference palette.
  5. In the External References - Apply Path message, click Yes if you want to apply the same path to other missing references that AutoCAD found at the new selected location.
  6. The External Reference palette automatically loads all the missing references found at the location.
