To Migrate Access Database to SQL Server

Migrate your catalog data information from your Microsoft® Access database to an existing catalog database on a Microsoft® SQL™ Server, which already has the correct AutoCAD Electrical database schema required for migration.

Select Your Migration Workflow

1. Start the Autodesk Content Migration Utility for AutoCAD Electrical from the Start menu (Windows) or the desktop icon.
   
2. On the home page of the utility, click Migrate Database workflow.

Connect to SQL Server

1. In the SQL Server Link, navigate and select the appropriate server instance for your SQL Server connection.
2. Under Authentication, either:
   1. Use the Windows authentication.
   2. Use SQL Server authentication. Enter your user name and password.
3. Click Next.

   The connection to the SQL Server instance gets established.

Migrate Data Into SQL Server

1. In the Source catalog database, navigate, and then select catalog database (.mdb)
2. In the destination catalog database drop-down list, choose the appropriate catalog database table.
3. In the Source footprint database, navigate, and then select footprint database (.mdb)
4. In the destination footprint database drop-down list, choose the appropriate footprint database table.
5. Click Migrate.
