The following is an overview of the changes made to AutoCAD Electrical 2020 toolset.
Refreshed Icons
As part of our continuous efforts to provide a great visual experience to our customers, the AutoCAD Electrical 2020 toolset release has new 'flat designed' icons in the user interface for command window and toolbars.
High Resolution (4K) Monitor Support
AutoCAD Electrical user interfaces are now optimized to work with high resolution monitors. As a result, dialog boxes such as the Bill of Material, Electrical Audit, Footprint Lookup and Schematic Terminal, dialog boxes scale correctly when you increase the text size in Windows display properties.
New Dark Theme
Your user interface is obviously something that you use all the time. Past customer feedback repeatedly indicated that we needed to make significant changes to improve the clarity and crispness of the dark theme. Similar sharpening was also applied to the light theme as well.
As you can see, we optimized the background colors with the icon colors to provide the optimum contrast without distracting from the drawing area, where you're usually focused.
PDF Publishing
A hyperlink is now available in the cross-references within the published PDF document for a few scenarios.
Performance
Performance improvement when using the schematic list for multiple inserts of panel footprint.
PLC
You are now able to correctly generate the PLC I/O drawings when using the spreadsheet containing BREAK.
When using the spreadsheet to PLC I/O utility, AutoCAD Electrical toolset now honors the module box properties from the PLC database.
