To Work With Blocks Between Devices

Display the Blocks Palette

1. Click Home tabBlock panelInsert. Find
2. Do any of the following:
   • Click Recent Blocks.
   • Click Favorite Blocks.
   • Click Blocks from Libraries.

Sync Recent and Favorite Blocks

• If you're not signed in to your Autodesk Account yet, follow these steps:
  1. Open the Blocks palette.
  2. On the Recent or Favorites tab of the Blocks palette, click Sync Your Blocks.
  3. Sign in to your Autodesk Account using your email address or user name and password.
  4. Navigate to a cloud storage folder where you want to store your recent and favorite blocks.
• If the Sync Your Blocks option is not displayed on the Blocks palette, follow these steps:
  Note: If the current drawing already contains blocks, or if you did not sign in to your Autodesk Account using the Blocks palette, the Sync Your Blocks option may not display in the palette.
  1. On the Recent or Favorites tab of the Blocks palette, click Block Sync Settings.
  2. In the Block Sync Setting dialog box, under Recent and Favorite Block Libraries, navigate to a cloud storage folder where you want to store your recent and favorite blocks.
  3. (Optional) Under Storage Permission, select Remember my cloud storage user name across devices option.
Note: Granting AutoCAD access to your cloud storage data means allowing AutoCAD to save your cloud storage email address across devices.

Change the Recent and Favorite Block Libraries Location

1. On the Recent or Favorites tab of the Blocks palette, click Block Sync Settings.
2. In the Block Sync Setting dialog box, under Recent and Favorite Block Libraries, navigate to a cloud storage folder where you want to store your recent and favorite blocks.

Note: When choosing folders for block libraries and recent blocks, it is recommended to use folders located within a supported cloud storage provider (Box, Dropbox, or Microsoft OneDrive). Although you can specify any folder location, blocks are only accessible across devices and on the AutoCAD web app if you use cloud storage.

Copy a Block to the Favorites Tab

• From any tab in the Blocks palette, right-click a block and select Copy to Favorites.

Note: Any changes to the blocks in the Favorites tab do not apply to the blocks they were copied from.

Remove a Block from the Recent or Favorites Tab

Do any of the following:

• Right-click a block and select Remove from Recent List.
• Right-click a block and select Remove from Favorites List.

Note: You cannot undo this Remove action.

Remove All Blocks from the Recent or Favorites Tab

Do any of the following:

• Right-click a block and select Clear Recent List.
• Right-click a block and select Clear Favorites List.

Note: You cannot undo this Clear action.

View the Recent Blocks on the AutoCAD Web App

1. Open your web browser and go to https://web.autocad.com/.
2. Sign in to your Autodesk Account using your email address or user name and password.
3. On the AutoCAD web app, click Blocks panelRecent.
4. (Optional) Click to refresh the recent block list.
