SPLMETHOD (System Variable)

Stores whether the default method used for the SPLINE command is fit points or control vertices.

0	Create splines using fit points
1	Create splines using control vertices

Note: SPLMETHOD always defaults to 0 when AutoCAD 2022 starts.
