Folder Navigation in Block Libraries

Folders within the selected folder are now displayed on the Blocks palette. Double-click a folder to display the drawings or folders within that folder.

Additional enhancements

Silent Install: The silent install now supports installing a product update with scripts.

AutoCAD 2022 for Mac New Features Overview (Video)

This video shows the key enhancements in this release including block library changes, block palette improvements, the new export layout command, and customizing keyboard shortcuts.

Block Libraries

Specify a drawing file or a folder to access your AutoCAD blocks. Sign in to your Autodesk Account to access block libraries on your cloud storage.

Blocks Palette Improvements

The Blocks palette now includes a list view which can be sorted by name and type.

Export Layout to DWG

Saves all visible objects from the current layout to the model space of a new drawing.

Customize Shortcut Keys

Edit, add, and remove shortcut key assignments on the new Shortcuts tab in the Customize dialog. Shortcut keys are key combinations that start commands.

AutoCAD Web App - Open in Desktop

If you're working in the AutoCAD web app, click Open in Desktop to open the drawing in AutoCAD desktop. Your drawing is automatically saved and then opened in your locally installed version of AutoCAD desktop.

Recent Input

Repeat commands or command input using Recent Input on the shortcut menu. Right-click to display a shortcut menu.

Additional enhancements

PURGEAECDATA: The new command removes the invisible AutoCAD Architecture custom data in the drawing allowing you to save the drawing to a previous version without any warnings.

Hatch performance: This release includes improvements in hatch performance in large drawings.
