The following is an overview of the changes made to AutoCAD Architecture 2019 toolset and AutoCAD MEP 2019 toolset.

Refreshed Icons

As part of our continuous efforts to provide a great visual experience to our customers, AutoCAD Architecture 2019 toolset and AutoCAD MEP 2019 toolset have new 'flat designed' icons in the user interface for Ribbon, Status Bar, Quick Access Toolbar (QAT) and Application Menu.

DWG Compare

With the DWG Compare feature, you can highlight the differences in model space between two revisions of the same drawing or different drawings. Using colors, you can differentiate between the objects that are unique to each drawing and the objects that are in common. You can exclude objects from being compared by turning off their layers.

Support for Industry Foundation Class (IFC) 4

Import and export of IFC4 format is now supported in AutoCAD Architecture 2019 toolset. This support enables users to export AutoCAD Architecture or AutoCAD MEP toolset toolset drawings in IFC4_ADD1 schema format and import IFC files adhering to IFC4_ADD1 and other IFC4 schemas.

New Content Browser Functionality and Removal of i-drop Method

The i-drop functionality for inserting content from the Content Browser into your current drawing or tool palette is no longer supported in AutoCAD Architecture 2019 toolset . You can now use the following two new options when you hover your mouse over any content icon in your content browser, such as tool, palette, catalog or package:
