During layout you must create valid connections between components to maintain intelligent building systems networks. Valid connections maintain consistency between components, including size, shape, type of system, and various part properties. You should test for valid connections.
Valid connections are determined by connector style rules, which define properties that must match between objects. A connector style has preset properties for which rules can be defined. For example, you can test for connection type and domain to prevent accidentally connecting a segment or run of the wrong connection type to an MvPart. For more information, see Connector Styles.
Solution tip icons highlight invalid connections between objects. Invalid connections can be fixed by modifying the objects that are causing the invalid connection:
