Templates Find Displays a list of note text templates for the selected category. When you move the cursor over a template, a tooltip displays the settings of that template. Right-click a template to display a contextual menu. |

Update Saves the content of the note text editor to the selected note template. |
||
Delete Deletes the selected note template from the symbol library. Only templates that have not been used in the drawing can be deleted. |
||
Rename Displays an in-place editor to let you rename the template. |
||
Set as Default Makes the selected template the default template for the selected category. A white border appears around the template to indicate that it is the default template. The default template loads automatically when you attach a note to an object of the selected category. This option is not available if the selected template is already set as the default template. |
||
Add Template Saves the content of the note text editor as a new template. Name the new template once it is created. |
||
Insert Panel |
||
Variables Find Displays a list of functions and references to the properties of the object the note is attached to. Select an item from the list to insert it at the current cursor position. |
||
Insert Symbol Find Displays a palette to enable you to insert a special character at the current cursor position in the note text editor. |
||
Style Panel |
||
Show Reference Line Adds a reference line from the leader to the note text. This option is selected, but unavailable for the GOST standard. |
||
Flip Symbol Flips the symbol so that the note is placed to the left of the leader. |

Leader/Text Panel |
||
Arrowhead Find Specifies the type of the leader arrowhead. When the arrowhead is set to By Standard, the symbol acquires the arrowhead from the current drafting standard. If you change the arrowhead for the current drafting standard (in the Standard Settings or Note Settings dialog box, the arrowhead for this symbol updates automatically. |

Add Leader Segments Find Adds a leader or leader segment to the leader note you are editing. |
||
Remove Leader Segments Find Deletes a leader, or leader segment from the leader note you are editing. |
||
Attach Find Attaches the symbol to an object. |
||
Detach Find Detaches the symbol from the object it is attached to. |
||
Adjust Reference Line Angle Find Sets the direction of the reference line. This button is not available in the GOST standard. |
||
Add Reference Line Adds an additional reference line below the currently selected reference line. This button is visible only for the GOST standard. |
||
Remove Reference Line Deletes the current reference line. This button is visible only for the GOST standard. |
||
Next Reference Line Edits the note text on the reference line above the currently selected reference line. This button is visible only for the GOST standard. |
||
Previous Reference Line Edits the note text on the reference line below the currently selected reference line. This button is visible only for the GOST standard. |

Text Justification Sets the justification of the note text. |
||
Leader Justification Sets the position of the note text relative to the reference line. |

Display Mode Find Selects how note text should appear in the note text editor. |
||
Plain Text Displays the formulas that define the note text. |
||
Rendered Text Renders all formulas to show a true preview of how the note text appears. |

Font Find Specifies the font for the text selected in the note text editor. |
||
Text Height Find Specifies the height of the text selected in the note text editor. |
||
Color Find Specifies a color for the text selected in the note text editor. |
||
Underline Find Turns underlining on and off for the text selected in the note text editor. |
||
Overline Find Turns overlining on and off for the text selected in the note text editor. |
||
Stack Find Stacks two segments of text, separated by a "/" character. |
||
Tracking Factor Find Specifies the spacing between characters of the text selected in the note text editor. |
||
Text Width Find Applies a scale factor for the width of the text selected in the note text editor. |
||
Text Size Specifies the height of the selected text. |
||
Scaled Height Specifies the height of the selected text. |
||
Alignment Specifies how the selected text aligns with the other text on the same line. This setting is required only if that line contains stacked text or characters of different text heights. |
||
Apply Dim Style Applies a dimension style to a numerical expression. This option is visible only when a numerical expression is selected.
Note: Include the angle brackets when selecting numerical expressions.

Precision Applies a precision to a numerical expression. This option is visible only when a numerical expression is selected. This option is unavailable if you have applied a dimension style to the selected numerical expression. |

Close Editor Find Closes the note text editor. |
