AutoCAD Mechanical toolset provides the AMFILLET2D command to fillet corners. The filleted corners can be formed by two arcs, circles, lines, polylines, rays, or xlines with an arc of a specified radius.
Just like its AutoCAD counterpart (the FILLET command), AMFILLET2D can extend or trim non parallel lines to connect with a rounded edge. However, there are some things that AMFILLET2D can do that FILLET cannot. For example:
When you use the AMFILLET2D command you can access the fillet creation options from the ribbon. The Fillet Options ribbon contextual panel appends itself to the current tab as soon as you start the command. If necessary, you can turn off the ribbon by setting the AMFILLET2DTAB system variable to 0. When the contextual panel is not displayed you specify the fillet options using the Fillet dialog box. You access this dialog box with the Setup command line option (AMFILLET2D command).
The AMRECTANG command can optionally create rectangles with filleted corners. The fillet size defaults to the last used fillet size by the AMRECTANG command or AMFILLET2D command.
