Inserts a roller bearing on a shaft.

Summary

A wizard enables you to select the type, and the view of the roller bearing to insert. If the system cannot find a bearing to fit the shaft, you can select a size from a list of available bearing sizes and resize the shaft to fit.

Use the Select a Roller Bearing dialog box to select the type of bearing and the view to insert.

List of Prompts

The following prompts are displayed.

Insertion Point
Specifies a point on a shaft contour to insert the bearing.
Centerline
Specifies the centerline around which the command draws the bearing.
Drag size
Specifies the size of the bearing by dragging or entering a value.
Note: When you browse through the bearings, the description of the current bearing is displayed in the status bar. Depending on the selected bearing, you need to select a size in the Select Size dialog box.
Direction to Left/right
Select the direction along which the bearing extends beyond the insertion point.

The insertion direction depends on the location of the selected points on shaft and centerline. If you are inserting bearing using the Shaft generator dialog box, the command needs you to specify the direction.
