To Set the Text Color and Height for Each Dimension Type Separately (AutoCAD Mechanical Toolset)

  1. At the Command prompt, enter AMOPTIONS.
  2. In the Options dialog box, click the AM:Standards tab.
  3. In the Standard Elements list, double-click Dimension. The Dimension Settings dialog box appears.
  4. Click Edit. The Edit Dimension Styles dialog box appears.
  5. From the tree on the left, select the dimension type to set text color and height for and click Modify.
  6. Click the Text tab.
  7. In the Text color list, select a color for text.
  8. In the Text height box, type the new text height.
  9. Click OK until all dialog boxes close.

Note: If the text color and height settings of a substyle are not the same as the base dimension style, the text color and height of the substyle do not change.
