AMEXPLODE (Command)

Converts mechanical structure objects to non-mechanical structure objects. When used on non-mechanical structure objects, breaks a compound object into its component objects.

This command behaves differently on mechanical structure objects and non-mechanical structure objects. Hence, when selecting objects, inspect the tooltip to confirm if you selected objects correctly.

On non-mechanical structure objects, this command behaves similar to the AutoCAD EXPLODE command. It decomposes selected compound objects into constituent lines and arcs.

Select object

Select the mechanical structure object you want to convert.

COMMAND LINE OPTIONS

Select objects: In model space, select the object you want to remove from structure or press enter to proceed with the current selection.

Note: To select an object, continue clicking a geometry that belongs to the object until you see the name of the object in a tooltip.
