AMCRIVET2D (Command)

Inserts a countersunk rivet from a standard content library.

Summary

A wizard enables you to select the type and the view of the countersunk rivet to insert. You specify the length by dragging. If the system cannot find a rivet to match, it displays a dialog box to enable you to select from a list of available sizes. Only the countersunk rivets listed as standard content are available with this command. Use the AMCONTENTLIB command to access custom content.

Use the Select a Countersunk Head Rivet dialog box to select the type and the view to insert.

Depending on the selected view there are differences in the insertion process:

List of Prompts

The following prompts are displayed.

Insertion point
Specifies the location of one end of the rivet.
Hole length
Specify the length of the hole the rivet goes into. You can click in the drawing to indicate the length and rotation around the insertion point.
Rotation angle
Specifies how far to rotate the rivet about its insertion point. This prompt is displayed only when you insert a side view of the rivet. Although the rotation angle is not significant for the side view, the system uses this information when generating projected views.
