Detail View Style Manager (AutoCAD Mechanical Toolset)

Sets the current detail view style and creates, modifies, and deletes detail view styles.

Summary

Detail view styles control the appearance of detail views. The style specifies the formatting of the detail boundary, identifier, connection line, model edge, detail view and detail view label.

List of Options

The following options are displayed.

Current detail view style

Displays the name of the detail view style that is applied to detail views you create.

Styles

Displays a list of detail view styles available in the current drawing file. The current style is highlighted.

AutoCAD detail view styles are indicated by the icon. AutoCAD Mechanical toolset detail view styles are indicated by the icon.

List

Filters the contents of the Styles list. Click All Styles to display all detail view styles available in the drawing file. Click Styles in use to display only the detail view styles that are referenced by detail views in the current drawing. Click Styles in current standard to display only AutoCAD detail view styles and AutoCAD Mechanical toolset detail view styles that are revisions of the current drafting standard.

Preview of

Displays a preview image of the style that is selected in the Styles list.

Set Current

Sets the detail view style selected in the Styles list as the current style. All new detail views are created using this detail view style.

New

Displays the Create New Detail View Style dialog box, in which you can define new detail view styles.

Attention: New detail view styles are created as AutoCAD detail view styles. As such, they are independent of the current drafting standard and do not inherit the master settings of the drafting standard.

Modify

Displays the Modify Detail View Style dialog box, in which you can modify detail view styles.

Note: You cannot rename any AutoCAD Mechanical toolset detail view styles or the detail view styles Imperial24 and Metric50.

Delete

Deletes the detail view style selected in the Styles list. This button is not available if the style selected in the Styles list is referenced by a detail view in the current drawing.
Note: You cannot delete the detail view styles Imperial24 and Metric50.
