Converts components or folders to external references, by moving their definitions from the current drawing to a new drawing.

The following prompts are displayed.
- Local object to externalize
- Specifies the type of object to externalize. You can choose between component, folder, and annotation view.
- Component/Folder name to externalize
- Specifies the name of the component or folder to externalize.
Note: If you can't remember the name of the component or folder, type ? and then press ENTER.

- Lists all items the names of objects that can be externalized. You can type the first few characters of the item name followed by a wild card (*), and then press ENTER to list only those components that begin with those characters.
