Power Manipulator Dialog Box (AutoCAD Mechanical Toolset)

Use this dialog box to set the exact values for movement and rotation as well as configure the appearance of the Power Manipulator.

General tab

 

Place Objects

Specifies where the program places the selected parts. The object selection moves with the manipulator. To invoke this option, press the ALT key.

 

Place Manipulator

Determines the location of the Power Manipulator icon. Only the manipulator changes its position or orientation. To invoke this option, press the SHIFT key.

 

Copy Objects

The program copies the object selection to the new position of the manipulator. To invoke this option, press the CRTL key.

 

Align to WCS

Aligns the Power Manipulator with the WCS. The origin remains untouched.

 

Align to UCS

Aligns the Power Manipulator with the current UCS. The origin remains untouched.

 

Center View on Manipulator

Aligns the Power Manipulator in the center of the screen.

 

Undo

Enables you to undo the last operation.

 

Make a new selection

Enables you to drop the current selection and choose a new one.

Move tab

 

Exact Distance

Specifies the exact distance parts move.

 

Number of Copies

Specifies the number of copies to create. Each copy moves the distance specified.

 

Use Distance Snap

Enables you to specify whether to use the Distance Snap and set the units.

Rotate tab

 

Exact Angle

Specifies the exact angle of rotation or the angle between copies.

 

Number of Copies

Specifies the number of copies to create.

 

Use Angle Snap

Enables you to specify whether to use the Angle Snap and set the units.

Settings tab

 

Manipulator Size

Controls the size of the Power Manipulator icon.

 

Handle and Text Size

Controls the size of the handles and axes text on the Power Manipulator icon.

 

Double-click for Rotate operations

When you select this box, double-click a handle to start rotating the object.

Display tab

 

Color

Specifies the colors used to open the Power Manipulator icon. Enables you to control the color of the axis, grips, drag arrows, rotation arrows, and X, Y, Z labels.

 

Normal

Enables you to specify the color of the normal objects.

 

Highlighted

Enables you to specific the color of the highlighted objects.

 

Number of grips

Controls the number of grips (axes) that appear on the manipulator.
