To Change Properties of a Mechanical Layer (AutoCAD Mechanical Toolset)

1. Click Home tabLayers panelMechanical Layer Manager. Find
2. In the row containing the layer to modify:
   • To change the layer name: Click in the name column, type the new name, and then press Enter.
   • To change the layer color: Click the layer color icon, select a color from the dialog box that appears, and then click OK.
   • To change the layer Linetype: Click Linetype and select a linetype from the drop-down list.
   • To change the layer Lineweight: Click Lineweight and select a lineweight from the drop-down list.
   • To toggle the ability to plot the layer: Click in the Plot column to toggle between the Plot and Do not plot icons.
   • To allow or disallow replication in layer groups: Click in the Replicate in Layergroup column. A tick in the column indicates that the feature is allowed.
   • To allow or disallow the layer group color to override the layer color: Click in the Override color by layer group column. A tick in the column indicates that the feature is allowed.
   • To change the description: Click in the Description column, type the description, and then press Enter.
3. Click OK until all dialog boxes close.
