Sets properties for the text style, placement and pattern of section view labels.
List of Options
The following options are displayed.
Label
- Show view label
- When selected, displays view labels on section views.
- Text style
- Sets the text style to use for the section view label. Note: If you select the text style labelled "By NameOfStandard", section view labels are linked to the text style setting of the master settings of the drafting standard. This option is available only for AutoCAD Mechanical toolset section view styles.
- Text style Button
- Displays the Text Style dialog box, where you can create or modify text styles.
- Text color
- Sets the color to use for the section view label. If you click Select Color (at the bottom of the Color list), the Select Color dialog box is displayed. You can also enter a color name or number. Note: If you select the color labelled “By NameOfCurrentDraftingStandard”, section view label color is linked to the color corresponding to the text height of the section view label. This option is available only for AutoCAD Mechanical toolset section view styles (specified in the Object Property Settings dialog box).
- Text height
- Sets the height of the section view label.
Note: If you select the text height labelled “By NameOfCurrentDraftingStandard”, the section view label size is based on the base height setting in the master settings of the drafting standard. When this option is selected, the section view label height is always one size larger than the base height setting. This option is available only for AutoCAD Mechanical toolset section view styles.
- Label position
- Sets the placement of the section view label, in relation to the section view.
- Distance from view
- Sets the gap between the edge of the section view and the section view label.
Label contents
- Default
- Sets the default textual content for section view labels. You typically use the following fields within section view labels.
- ViewScale - Evaluates to the scale settings of a model documentation section view. Evaluates to nothing on section view labels generated by the AMSECTIONLINE command.
- ViewSectionEndId - Evaluates to the ending section line identifier.
- ViewSectionStartId - Evaluates to the starting section line identifier.
- ViewType - Always evaluates to "section", when used in a section view label.

- Displays the Field dialog box, with the field category set to Model Documentation. When you exit the Field dialog box, the selected field is inserted at the current cursor position within the default box. If the cursor is not within the Default box, the entire content of the Default box is replaced.
Restore Defaults
Returns all values to the default values for the drafting standard and revision the style is based on. This button is visible only for AutoCAD Mechanical toolset section view styles.
