In this step, identify the title block in the Reference Drawing and specify which properties to extract from the title block.
- Select title block Temporarily hides the wizard to allow you to select the title block from which you intend to extract data. After you select the title block, you click inside the cells you want to extract. Once you are done, you press ENTER to return to the wizard. |

Automatically extract all text objects Extracts all text objects in the selected title block, without prompting you to select them one by one. |

Extracted text objects Lists the text objects extracted from the selected title block. |

Warning icon Indicates that the wizard is unable to tell the difference between labels/captions and data. Clicking this icon opens the Text Extraction dialog box, which enables you to tag the labels/captions manually and instruct the wizard to ignore them. |

Preview box Shows a thumbnail of the selected title block. |

Add Temporarily hides the wizard to allow you to select additional cells and append the text objects contained in them to the Extracted text objects list.
Note:
If all cells in the title block are extracted, the button is disabled. |

Remove Removes the selected rows from the Extracted text objects list. |

Fine tune Opens the Text Extraction dialog box, where you tag the text objects to ignore. You can also split a concatenated text object into its constituents. You typically ignore labels and let only the component property values to remain in the extracted text objects list. Later in the extraction process, you map each row in the Extracted text objects list to a component property in the BOM. You use the Text Extraction dialog box to ensure that the text object in each row of the Extracted text objects list corresponds to exactly 1 component property in the BOM.

What if a text object you need has only a label and no component property value? Use the Rename button and manually specify a component property value. |

Rename Specifies a new name for the selected cell.
Note:
If the selected cell contains multiple text objects, the button is disabled. |

Highlight Temporarily hides the wizard and highlights the title block cells corresponding to the rows selected in the Extracted text objects list. |
