AMCENTERHOLE2D (Command)

Inserts a centerhole on a shaft.

Summary

A wizard assists you to select the type of centerhole, the view, and the size to insert. You can create a detail view of a centerhole during the same command session.

You use the Select a Center Hole dialog box to select a threaded or threadless type to insert. Depending on the selected view there are differences in the insertion process.

List of Prompts

The following prompts are displayed.

Insertion point
Specifies the insertion point of the centerhole. Select a point on the shaft contour. If you do not select a point where the centerline crosses the shaft contour, you have to specify the rotation angle. This prompt appears only when you insert a front view of a centerhole.
Shaft diameter
Specifies the shaft to insert the centerhole. Select a point on the shaft contour in a side view of the shaft. The point you select on the shaft, determines the insertion angle of the centerhole.
