AMSHIMRING2D (Command)

Inserts a shim ring on a shaft.

Find

Summary

A wizard enables you to select the type, and the view of the shim ring to insert. You drag to specify the size and it snaps to an available size. A tooltip displays the size as you drag. If the size you selected does not fit the shaft you can automatically resize the shaft to fit.

You use the Select a Shim Ring dialog box to select the type and the view to insert.

List of Prompts

The following prompts are displayed.

Insertion Point

Specifies a location for the shim ring on the shaft contour.

Centerline

Specifies the centerline around which the program must draw the shim ring.

Shaft Diameter

Calculates the diameter of the shaft when you select a point on the shaft contour.
