AutoCAD Mechanical toolset provide several commands to migrate Genius objects in to an AutoCAD Mechanical toolset readable format
You can add parts created with Genius 14 to the standard parts database of the current AutoCAD Mechanical toolset release. When you add Genius 14 user-created parts whose original names have been changed in Genius 14, the progam adds those parts and shows them in the current AutoCAD Mechanical toolset database with their original names. The program does not import newly assigned names.
Drawings created with Genius 12 or earlier do not contain any intelligent objects. The program migrates BOM data in these files. Original balloons and parts lists geometry remains unchanged in the drawing. To modify these balloons and parts lists, recreate them from scratch.
The program migrates symbols from Genius 13 or Genius 14 using Genius Intelligent Objects data. If you change only the representation of the symbol — the block reference — the result after migration may change. In such cases, you can do any of the following: upgrade migrated symbols manually, do not save the drawing, or correct the symbol data in Genius using POWEREDIT.
The program does not migrate Genius Leaders.
